My name is Vladimir Dzyuba (Владимир Дзюба), welcome to my personal page.
I am a research engineer at Flanders Make. I am working on data science applications in manufacturing and engineering.
From 2012 to 2017, I was a doctoral researcher in the DTAI research group, Department of Computer Science, KU Leuven. In June 2017, I defended my PhD thesis titled "Mine, Interact, Learn, Repeat: Interactive pattern-based data exploration," supervised by Prof.Luc De Raedt and co-supervised by Dr.Matthijs van Leeuwen.
My research concerned exploratory data analysis, pattern-based models, and modelling subjective interests of data analysts with the purpose of developing interactive data mining algorithms that do not require their users to have data mining expertise. I was supported by "Instant Interactive Data Exploration", the joint FWO project with colleagues from University of Antwerp. I was also a member of the Sports Analytics Lab, where we investigated applications of machine learning and data mining to sports data.
